Become an opera insider with opera aficionado and Director of the Wolf Trap Opera Company, Kim Witman. Want to learn more about the mysterious world of opera? Participants will explore the stories, styles, singers, and composers that make up the rich history of opera through discussions, listening examples, and more, as Kim uses the upcoming Wolf Trap Opera Company summer season as a framework for exploring what makes opera tick.

Artsplay!™ is the best play! Foster your child’s imagination and creative self-expression in our signature program for 3 to 5 year olds. Led by Wolf Trap Master Teaching Artists, children will stretch, wiggle, and romp in a welcoming space as they explore the characters and themes of a book through music, movement, and dramatization.

Junior Jammin’: Djembe Drumming and Drama
Music, playwriting, set-design, and acting—this class has it all! Children and their caregivers come together to dramatize a fable while learning the rhythmic patterns of the djembe drum. This interactive 8-week class is led by djembe specialist and Wolf Trap Master Teaching Artist Kofi Dennis and culminates in a final performance featuring the original music and script created in class.
