  • Since the bluesy anthem “Bring Me Some Water” brought her to the national consciousness 25 years ago, Melissa Etheridge has been delighting and challenging fans with songs that are both beautiful and activist-driven.
  • Etheridge’s song “I Need to Wake Up,” which was written for the documentary An Inconvenient Truth, won the 2007 Academy Award for Best Original Song. She is also 2-time Grammy Award winner for her hits “Ain’t It Heavy” and “Come to My Window.”
  • Her latest album, 2012’s 4th Street Feeling, is a spiritual and musical return to the singer’s roots with songs about her hometown of Leavenworth, Kansas set to a swampy, bluesy backdrop on which Etheridge plays lead guitar.
  • “Her powerhouse vocals so reminiscent of Janis Joplin have only seemed to have gotten stronger with age.”—The Hollywood Reporter
  • Praised as “a bell tone of a crooner with a knack for writing a catchy hook” (AllMusic.com), Washington, D.C.-born Eric Hutchinson is lauded for upbeat acoustic-pop that features percussive guitar playing and has been featured on Grey’s Anatomy.
