Artsplay is an integrated performing arts program for young children. The classes provide holistic early childhood music, drama, and movement experiences aimed at supporting children’s intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. Artsplay classes are modeled after Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts classroom residencies. Each class is taught by a Wolf Trap Teaching Artist and an early childhood specialist.
8 class sessions will be held on Saturdays from February 2 through March 29, 2008.
Online registration is now available.
Classes are not interchangeable. Participants can only attend their registered class.
Space is very limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
All classes held at the Center for Education at Wolf Trap.
Changing stations are available in male and female restrooms.

Krissie Marty studied theater and postmodern dance at the University of Texas, and choreography at the University of Iowa. She has taught children and adults of all abilities with the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, Jacob's Pillow School, Towson University, Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, NewVic (London), Adugna Dance Company (Ethiopia), and Grinnell College. Her choreography has been performed at the Kennedy Center, Stratford Circus, Chateau de Cazals, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, and Rockledge Elementary School’s cafetorium. Krissie has also danced with children in home health and hospice care, as well as at the Pediatric Unit at Georgetown Medical Center. She has been a Wolf Trap Teaching Artist for three years.
