Classes |
Creative Movement allows children to explore movement through music, develop physical skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination, and promote creativity.
Classroom activities are designed to help children build their large and fine motor skills while supporting emergent skill development across learning domains, including:
- Cognitive skills, such as reasoning, persistence, and problem solving
- Physical concepts, such as speed, energy, and spatial orientation
- Social skills, such as listening, following directions, and participating in a group activity

During the Fall term, 8 classes will be held on Saturdays from September 19 through November 7, 2009.
Classes are not interchangeable.
Participants can only attend their registered class.
Space is very limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
Tuition: $120 per 8-week session

All classes are held at the Center for Education at Wolf Trap.
Ricki Marion earned a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography and a M.S. in Arts Administration from Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University. Ricki has danced professionally with Cross Currents, Jane Franklin Dance, and Carla & Company. Additionally, she has taught dance and movement classes for children throughout the DC metropolitan area. Ricki currently performs with the Flying Lions Dance Company and teaches dance classes in Ashburn, Virginia.
