Bringing a devilish twist to holiday classics and original songs, the lively folk-jazz originator returns with a new album, Holidaze in Hicksville.

• Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks were originally founded by Hicks in the late-’60s as a side project. After the Hot Licks split up in 1973, Hicks performed solo before reforming the group for 2000’s Beatin’ the Heat.
• Hick’s style incorporates Western swing, traditional folk, bluegrass, cowboy tunes, Gypsy jazz, and bossa nova.
