This groovy tradition continues with the best of the '70s
Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels gained popularity in the 1960s with their R&B style that crossed the color line in music. Ryder was most known for his bands’ Top 5 hit “Devil with a Blue Dress On/Good Golly Miss Molly.”
Another R&B band of the 1960s, Rare Earth’s hits included “I Just Want to Celebrate,” “Good Time Sally,” and their cover of the Temptations’ “(I Know) I’m Losing You.”
