Thorogood’s rebellious blues-rock heard on “Bad to the Bone,” “I Drink Alone,” and many others, is joined by the classy, Grammy-winning guitarist Cray for a night of outstanding blues with no apologies.
Originally a minor-league baseball player, George Thorogood saw John Paul Hammond in concert and decided to become a rock star. His major label debut in 1982, Bad to the Bone, was the first of many albums to go gold.
Only six years after his debut album, Who’s Been Talkin’ (1980), Robert Cray won his first Grammy for Showdown, released by Mercury, for Best Traditional Blues Album/Recording. His latest release, This Time, was released in 2009.
