A multi-talented cabaret singer and Golden Globe winner, McBroom has warmed audiences with her theatrical contralto voice and quick wit. This talented lyricist, is the poetic mastermind behind poignant love ballad “The Rose” and original musical Heartbeats.

  • This cabaret diva caught her big break when her original, Golden Globe-winning song “The Rose” was covered by Bette Midler in 1979. McBroom’s songs have also been recorded by Harry Belafonte, Barbara Cook, Donny Osmond, and even the Chipmunks.
  • Although best known for her onstage theatrical talent, McBroom has shined in television appearances on hit shows including Star Trek: The Next Generation, Taxi, and M*A*S*H.
  • Her most recent release, Chanson (2009) is a tribute to one of her inspirations, ’60s balladeer Jacques Brel.
