Paul Cebar Tomorrow Sound
General Admission

These cosmopolitan rockers provide lively performances through a panoramic blend of African, Latin, and Caribbean-inspired jams.

  • Bandleader Paul Cebar hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he first got his start in folk coffeehouses in the mid-’70s. He has also spent considerable time in New Orleans, where he draws inspiration from the vibrant, multicultural music scene.
  • This January, the band released Fine Rude Thing, a self-proclaimed “toothy, rambunctious, concentrated exploration of rock 'n' soul verities that grooves and sways like all get-out.”
  • Cebar’s group was formerly named “Paul Cebar and The Milwaukeeans” and specialized in jazz, R&B, and bebop, covering Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday.
  • “They put a lively spin on all sorts of American strains, from second-line to funk to zydeco, and they do it with a load of whimsy.”—The Village Voice
