The Oak Ridge Boys

Grammy-winning legends who have generated more than 40 country and gospel albums, featuring hits like “Elvira,” “Bobby Sue,” and “American Made”

  • Cherished for their broad appeal and positivity, The Oak Ridge Boys have won multiple Grammy Awards, 4 Country Music Awards, and were inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2011.
  • To celebrate their milestone 40th anniversary in 2013, The Oak Ridge Boys released Faith, Family & Freedom, which revisits many career favorites such as “Thank God for Kids” and “Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight.”
  • While the band has existed since the 1940s, its current members came together in 1973. This includes 4 singers: Duane Allen (lead), William Lee “Mountain Man” Golden (baritone), Richard Sterban (bass), and Joe Bonsall (tenor).
  • In 2009 the band revitalized its sound with The Boys Are Back, a country, blues, and rock album that features an unexpected, popular cover of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.”
  • "Since hitting the top 10 for the first time in 1977 with 'Y’all Come Back Saloon,' The Oak Ridge Boys have carved out one of the most successful careers of all time. At the same time, they have never forgotten their gospel roots.”—Billboard
