Champion of the acoustic guitar, this vibrant singer/songwriter has been spreading “Sunshine” through earnest songs, feel-good honky-tonk, and heartfelt bluegrass for more than 40 years.

  • Best known for his Billboard Top 5 pop hit “Sunshine,” Jonathan Edwards’s repertoire includes many classics such as lovelorn folk song “Sometimes in the Morning” and playful party tune “Shanty.”
  • Raised mainly in Northern Virginia, Edwards picked up the guitar as a teenager and became a regular at local clubs while attending college in Ohio. He opened for acts like The Allman Brothers Band and B.B. King and released his eponymous debut in 1971.
  • In 2012 Edwards released Top 40, a 2-disc collection of his best studio recordings that spans more than 4 decades. A year before, he released contemporary folk record My Love Will Keep, which features his “strong and richly textured” voice, according to
