  • Five-time Grammy Award winner Mary Chapin Carpenter will join the National Symphony Orchestra at Wolf Trap for a very special evening of songs from her debut orchestral record, Songs From The Movie, which was released January 14, 2014. Arranged and conducted by 6-time Grammy Award winner Vince Mendoza (Sting, Diana Krall, Elvis Costello, Joni Mitchell) and produced by Carpenter and Mendoza along with Matt Rollings (Keith Urban, Lyle Lovett), Songs From The Movie harkens to Carpenter’s love of classic film and symphonic music. The album features new interpretations of 10 beloved songs by Carpenter, from “Come On Come On” and “On And On It Goes” to “I Am A Town” and “Goodnight America.”
  • Conductor, arranger, and composer Vince Mendoza has been at the forefront of the jazz and contemporary music scene as a composer and recording artist for the past 20 years. He is a 6-time Grammy winner and arranged Carpenter’s new album.
