Called the “best live band in America” by NPR, Wilco puts on a provocative, entertaining show that equally satisfies long-term fans and attracts new ones, easily placing them among the ranks of the greatest rock groups of the new millennium.
Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band
In what might be considered to be a dream billing for many indie rock music lovers, Wilco is joined by Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band, as they promote their second album, Outer South. Taking a break from his mainstay, Bright Eyes, Oberst assembled the Mystic Valley Band in early 2008 with Nik Freitas and Jason Boese (of Rilo Kiley). Now expanded to a five-piece, the summer tour includes Taylor Hollingsworth (guitar), Macey Taylor (bass), and Nate Walcott (keys.) Prior to the formation of the Mystic Valley Band, Conor Oberst played a crucial role in the emergence of Omaha, Nebraska, as an influential music town.
