Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts Hosts Its 11th Annual Invitation Golf Tournament at The Golf Club at Lansdowne’s Robert Trent Jones Jr. Course

Vienna , VA—Tee off with Wolf Trap on Monday, October 20, 2008 for the Foundation’s 11th Annual Invitational Golf Tournament. Hosted by The Golf Club at Lansdowne at the Robert Trent Jones Jr. course in Lansdowne Virginia, and chaired by Wolf Trap Foundation Board of Directors member Stephen P. Joyce, the tournament will combine golfers of all skill levels for a memorable round at one of Northern Virginia’s finest golf facilities.

Individual golfers are encouraged to register via Wolf Trap’s website at http://www.wolftrap.org/Home/Find_Performances_and_Events/Event/Golf%20Tournment.aspx. Sponsorship opportunities are also available at a variety of levels. The Wolf Trap Invitational Golf Tournament offers visibility, promotion and influence for companies seeking high exposure, recognition, entertainment, and branding opportunities. Details on foursome reservations and sponsorship can be accessed through the aforementioned website.

As an additional incentive for registration, prizes including round-trip airline tickets courtesy of American Airlines will be awarded to the top three teams as well as the golfer with the longest drive and the closest-to-the-pin tee shot.

Prior to the shotgun start at 11a.m., Head Golf Professionals from The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Creighton Farms and River Bend Golf Club will host a golf clinic for tournament participants.

Proceeds of this event will go to help support Wolf Trap Foundation’s renowned education programs, including the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, an international program that uses the performing arts disciplines of drama, music, and movement to help teach literacy and other academic and social skills to disadvantaged children.
