Wolf Trap Elects New Board of Directors

The Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts is proud to announce that thirteen new members from diverse business and philanthropic sectors have been elected to serve on its 2008-2009 Board of Directors. Gerald L. Kohlenberger will serve as Chairman of the Board. Other officers include Wolf Trap Foundation President and CEO Terrence D. Jones, Vice Chairman and Secretary Leo C. Tucker of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network - The Washington Group, and Vice Chairman Stanley J. Gutkowski. Mrs. Laura Bush is the Honorary Chair.

New members who have made a commitment to advance the Foundation’s mission, goals, and financial stability include Keith N. Cole, Director, Legislative and Regulator Affairs, General Motors, Washington, D.C.; Lisa Collis, Director, Collis-Warner Foundation; Alan J. Kelly, President, Lubricants and Specialties, ExxonMobil Corporation, Fairfax, VA; Shiv Krishnan, President and CEO, INDUS Corporation, Vienna, VA; Lester L. Juliana E. May, Vice President, The Staubach Company, has been elected Chair of the Wolf Trap Associates Board of Directors and Lesli Rotenberg, Senior Vice President, PBS and PBS KIDS, has been elected Vice Chair.

Wolf Trap’s emeriti directors are Mary Frances Pearson, Elizabeth Taylor, Earle C. Williams, and The Honorable Norman Y. Mineta.

The Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts is a nonprofit organization founded in 1971 by Catherine Filene Shouse (1896-1994) that presents and produces a full-range of performance and education programs in the greater Washington, D.C. area, as well as nationally and internationally. Wolf Trap is home to two performance venues: the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts and The Barns at Wolf Trap. It also programs and operates the Wolf Trap Opera Company and year-round education programs for children and adults of all ages. The Foundation is headquartered at the Center for Education at Wolf Trap.
