Wolf Trap celebrates the relationship between art and nature.
Wolf Trap’s Green Spot is the place to learn about the steps the Wolf Trap Foundation and the National Park Service are undertaking to improve the environment and to be good stewards of our natural resources. We want to hear your ideas as well; share them at the Green Spot or email wolftrap@wolftrap.org.
Wolfie the Wolf Trap Wolf regularly visits the Green Spot on the Filene Center Plaza during the summer to bring attention to ways that you can Go Green with us! See pictures of his friends on Wolf Trap’s Facebook page.
The Green Spot is different each night. You may speak with experts from General Motors about electric-powered vehicles, get tips on sustainable gardening from Northern Virginia Master Gardeners, or learn about children’s performances and classes at Wolf Trap that focus on the environment. Check back here in May 2012 for a complete list of Green Spot dates.
Energy Saving/Waste Reduction Update
From enhancing recycling efforts and switching to biodegradable cups for concessions to optimizing energy use in foundation offices, Wolf Trap is taking many steps to help the environment!
