Welcome to the website of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts—I encourage you to take a few moments to explore the many aspects of Wolf Trap! We achieve our mission, as first established by our founder, Catherine Filene Shouse, through diverse performance and innovative education programs for people of all ages in our community and far beyond. Wolf Trap plays an important role as a national leader in arts and education. As a nonprofit organization, your patronage and support ensure that this important work will continue to touch the lives of countless individuals.

Thank you for a successful 2009 summer season at the Filene Center. As we move inside to The Barns at Wolf Trap, I invite you to spend many evenings with us enjoying extraordinary music in this unique setting. This season features everything from folk, roots rock, and jazz to world music and comedy, with long-time legends as well as rising and local talent. The Discovery Series returns with inimitable host Rich Kleinfeldt, offering chamber music in this intimate setting. In addition to these fall through spring offerings, in the summer The Barns houses the celebrated Wolf Trap Opera Company, a nationally acclaimed residency program providing tomorrow’s stars some of their first leading roles.

Simply by enjoying a show at The Barns you are supporting Wolf Trap's acclaimed Education Programs for children, adults, and educators locally, nationally, and around the world. Wolf Trap enhances the lives of thousands of children, teachers, artists, and audiences each year.
