Our Mission

The Wolf Trap Young Professional Society brings together emerging leaders, primarily aged 21-39, from all industries. Members take an active role in enhancing the greater Washington metropolitan area’s cultural scene while fostering their knowledge of, and involvement with, the performing arts. WTYPS seeks to create an environment where young professionals can volunteer, network, socialize, host special events, and work towards the common effort of supporting the Wolf Trap Foundation and its multifaceted array of artistic, education, and outreach programming. Events are held at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, the Center for Education at Wolf Trap, The Barns at Wolf Trap, and at a variety of other locations throughout the greater Washington metropolitan region.

Wolf Trap Young Professional Society and Smithsonian Young Benefactors come together for an evening of camaraderie and acoustic rock. Join us for dinner in the Education Hall at the Center for Education at Wolf Trap followed by a great night of live music in the intimate Barns at Wolf Trap!

With their “jazzy, buoyant baroque pop songs” (The Village Voice), Elizabeth & The Catapult deliver a fresh perspective to the stage.

Bringing an impressive vocal range to acoustic rock, [Ari Hest] this “captivating live performer” (The Boston Globe) returns with a new album of fan-selected songs, Twelve Mondays.

NOT TO BE MISSED! Back by popular demand, Wolf Trap Young Professional Society will once again host an evening of networking, cocktails, savory treats, and comedy. This side-splitting sketch comedy troupe has been a launch pad for countless entertainers, from Alan Arkin and John Belushi to Tina Fey and Stephen Colbert. The Second City is known as America’s greatest comedy theatre.
