Gaze in wonder as breathtaking NASA images and footage are projected onto giant screens, complementing Holst’s seven-movement orchestral suite The Planets. This awe-inspiring masterpiece will be performed live on stage by the National Symphony Orchestra.
Stellar young pianist Alexander Malofeev joins the orchestra to perform Rachmaninoff's famous Piano Concerto No. 2—an irresistible favorite brimming with sheer romantic drama and show-stopping thunder.
Enjoy a free pre-show event panel from 7–7:30 PM with conductor Emil deCou, NASA Earth Science Division Director Dr. Karen M. St. Germain, and NASA Chief Scientist and Senior Climate Advisor Dr. Kate Calvin at the Associates Pavilion. The Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum, the National Symphony Orchestra, and DarkSky will have tables on the Filene Center Plaza before the show.
All persons, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Ticket prices are the same for adults and children.
