ABOUT THE U.S. Marine Band ENSEMBLE

Established by an Act of Congress in 1798, the United States Marine Band is America’s oldest continuously active professional musical organization. Its mission is unique—to provide music for the President of the United States and the Commandant of the Marine Corps. The Free Country Acoustic Quartet is comprised of four Marine Band musicians—two vocalists, a bassist, and guitarist performing modern and classic pop, rock, and country hits by artists such as Tina Turner, Rodney Atkins, Jason Aldean, Trace Adkins, and Lee Greenwood. The musicians of the quartet perform at the White House for State Dinners, ceremonies, receptions and other events of national significance. In addition, they participate in chamber ensemble recitals and educational outreach programs throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
