ARTISTIC ADMINISTRATION
Learn what it takes to produce Opera and classical music as an administrator. You will assist Wolf Trap Opera & Classical Programming in the preparation for the summer Opera season and daily operations of the department, which include:
- Proof and edit marketing pieces for the summer Opera season
- Assist with the Chamber Music series at the Barns
- Assist in the maintenance of the Music Library
- Coordinate travel/lodging arrangements for summer artists
- Update the Opera website with season information
- Manage Opera & Classical Programming databases (Filemaker)
Requirements
- Interest in pursuing a career in opera or classical music administration
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and Publisher)
- Strong organizational & communication skills
- Arts Administration students (or related area of study) preferred
