DC Anthem Singers
SGM (R) Bob McDonald served as group leader and a member of the US Army Chorus for over 26 years, retiring in 2020. He performed regularly at the White House, has performed regionally in many opera roles, and is a regular fixture of the DC musical theater and cabaret scene. McDonald has sung the National Anthem for the Washington Capitals for over 31 seasons.
MSG (R) Caleb Green is a Hampton University Alum, US Army Veteran, recording artist, and an entrepreneur. He’s an active member of the vocal quartet, Voices of Service, who were 2019, season 14, top five finalists of America’s Got Talent. Green is an anthem specialist for the Washington Capitals, Washington Nationals, Washington Wizards, and
Baltimore Orioles.
LTC (R) D.C. Washington is a singer, conductor, and worship leader. Washington, who served 22 years in the US military, is part of the choir and several ensembles at Immanuel Bible Church and is a member of the nationally known Cathedral Choral Society in Washington, DC. He is a frequent singer of the National Anthem for the Washington Commanders, the Washington Nationals, and DC United.
Tony Nalker (Music Director and Pianist) performs widely in Washington, DC, currently serving as jazz pianist with the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra Pops. From 1989–2016 Nalker was the pianist and enlisted leader of the Army Blues, the premiere jazz ensemble of the US Army.
Amy Shook (bass) is a premier performing and recording artist, a multi-instrumentalist (acoustic bass, electric bass, violin, and viola), and an accomplished composer. Shook co-leads the Shook/Russo 4tet with her husband, tenor saxophonist Pat Shook, and the all-women powerhouse trio the 3D Jazz Trio (3Divas).
