Donor Advised Funds

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account that allows you to recommend grants to Wolf Trap Foundation and other charities from one centralized location. If you are planning to recommend a grant to Wolf Trap Foundation from a Donor Advised Fund, please note the following:

Membership Gifts

Per IRS guidelines and Wolf Trap’s Gift Acceptance Policy, tangible goods and services with more than incidental value associated with membership cannot be provided by a charity to the recommending donor or sponsoring entity. For membership gifts, Wolf Trap automatically waives benefits of value. Members who give via DAF can still enjoy incidental benefits—view a full list of benefits on our membership page.

The IRS has specific guidelines about gifts from Donor Advised Funds. Wolf Trap Foundation encourages you to contact your financial advisor or Donor Advised Fund representative for more information. Please contact us at encorecircle@wolftrap.org or call 703.255.1954 if you have any questions about using your Donor Advised Fund to make membership contributions.

Event Sponsorships

Federal regulations of Donor Advised Funds allow event sponsors to receive the benefit of recognition, but not tangible goods and services.

If you plan to attend an event and are considering a DAF payment, please contact us at events@wolftrap.org.

Please contact us at encorecircle@wolftrap.org or call 703.255.1954 if you need any assistance with these giving options.
