How to Give
Traditional IRAs
You can make a gift directly from your traditional Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) to a qualified public charity like Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). This giving option allows you to support the performing arts and education while enjoying potential tax benefits. We recommend consulting with your financial advisor to see if a QCD is right for you
Benefits of IRA Giving
- Immediate impact on Wolf Trap’s mission to bring world-class performances and arts education to the community.
- Potential tax savings by reducing your taxable income.
- Satisfy all or part of your RMD while supporting a cause you love.
IRA Regulations
Per IRS guidelines and Wolf Trap Foundation’s Gift Acceptance Policy, member benefits with goods or services of more than incidental value cannot be provided by a charity to the donor. For membership gifts, Wolf Trap automatically waives benefits of value. Members can still enjoy incidental benefits—view a full list of benefits on our membership page.
