Directions to Wolf Trap

Getting to Wolf Trap is easy. Each venue has free parking and is only 3 miles from the Capital Beltway (I-495).


Note: Route 267 (Dulles Toll Road) requires drivers to pay a toll. For toll rates, visit MWAA's Dulles Toll Road website.

Metro to the Filene Center

The Wolf Trap Express Shuttle, operated by Fairfax Connector, offers roundtrip service from the McLean Metro Station (Silver Line) to all Filene Center summer performances.*

How it works

  • Bus service begins 2 hours prior to showtime and runs approximately every 20 minutes. The last bus from McLean Metro to the Filene Center departs at showtime.  
  • Buses back to Metro leave Wolf Trap 20 minutes after the show, but no later than: 
    • June 26 – September 17:
      Sunday – Thursday: 11 PM
      Friday and Saturday: 11:10 PM

  • $5.00 cash
  • (or) $5.00 SmarTrip® 
  • (or) $3.00 SmarTrip® with rail to bus transfer
*Bus service is not available for performances at The Barns at Wolf Trap, Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods, or the Holiday Sing-A-Long at the Filene Center.
Beginning Wednesday, July 20, parking for the Wolf Trap Express Shuttle for the McLean (Silver Line) Metro Station will be located at the Wegman’s parking garage. The address is 1835 Capital One Drive and there are entrances on Capital One Drive and Scotts Crossing Road. Parking rates range from $2 (1-2 hours) to $30 (6-24 hours). Rideshare & Taxi Drop-off

Wolf Trap’s Rideshare and Taxi drop-off and pick-up area is located in the pull-off area on the west side of Trap Road, opposite the marquee. For safety reasons, do not attempt to cross Trap Road. Please use the Pedestrian Tunnel to access the Rideshare and Taxi drop-off and pick-up area and when going to or from the Filene Center.
