Join us for an intimate evening of extraordinary wines and exceptional cuisine at the rustic Barns at Wolf Trap with hosts, Emil de Cou of the National Symphony Orchestra and Michael Martini of Louis M. Martini Winery of St. Helena, California.

The evening features a five-course dinner with perfect pairings of wines, presented by Michael Martini, the third-generation winemaker for Louis M. Martini Winery of St. Helena, California. Live entertainment presents a preview of the 2010 Wolf Trap summer season performances as well as familiar favorites.

Mike MartiniMichael Martini learned the subtle art of winemaking and grape growing firsthand while growing up at his family’s winery in the Napa Valley. Mike applied for and was accepted into the winemaking and grape growing program at the University of California at Davis. He graduated in 1977 with a degree in fermentation science, and returned to the family winery in St. Helena where he was given full responsibility as winemaker, carrying his family’s tradition into the third generation. 

Emil de Cou with NSOAmerican conductor Emil de Cou has been an active participant in a wide range of National Symphony performances and events since his debut at Wolf Trap in 2000. He is just beginning his sixth season as NSO@Wolf Trap Festival Conductor, leading several of the NSO’s concerts at Wolf Trap, and acting as a spokesperson for the overall summer season.
