Enjoy an intimate evening of extraordinary wines and exceptional cuisine at the rustic Barns at Wolf Trap. Guests will enjoy a five-course dinner with perfect pairings of 95-point wines presented by wine expert Mark Longsworth. Celebrity host Emil de Cou will look “through the tasting glass” and share the ability of music to enhance the wine tasting experience!

The Wines

Evo Bistro and Country Vintner are partnering with Wolf Trap to pair wines rated 95 points and higher with the five courses created by Chef Shannon of Design Cuisine. The evening's selections will feature small producers from around the world and stellar wines that are rarely available by the glass. Wine expert Mark Longsworth will introduce each wine with the pairing.

The Menu

Design Cuisine's Chef Shannon Shaffer, who was selected to prepare the Inaugural lunch for President Barack Obama, has designed a five-course dinner fit for a President for this event. The service by Design Cuisine, which has been recognized in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Gourmet Magazine, Southern Living, and many others will create a memorable evening.

The Study

Emil de Cou, Festival Conductor for the National Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Season at Wolf Trap, will serve as our host for the evening. He will discuss the link between music and the enjoyment of wine, and introduce musical examples performed live throughout the evening.

The Auction

Throughout cocktails, guests will have the opportunity to bid on exclusive bottles and cases of wine during a silent auction. The evening will conclude with a live auction featuring trips to exclusive destinations and one-of-a-kind experiences.
