Lawn patrons: Get MobiTxt™ Captions on Your Smartphone or Google Glass™

At this performance, Wolf Trap will unveil new supertitle technology with the help of Figaro systems and MobiTxt. Bring your Google Glass, tablets, and smartphones to the device-friendly zone on the right side of the lawn for easy viewing of the supertitles on your mobile device. Instructions to connect your device are below, and you'll also receive these instructions at the Park.

In-house seating and the left side of the lawn will be device-free, with supertitles projected on the stage. 

We encourage all patrons to be considerate of your fellow audience members: please silence your phone, disable any automatic screen-dim functions, and dim the brightness of your screen (also saves battery).

Smartphone/Tablet Instructions:

  • Go to Settings / WiFi: MobiTxt
  • This is a closed network: no internet access available.
  • The landing page directs you to the webpage displaying captions in your browser.
  • You can change the text size by zooming.
  • Having trouble? Use the following link in your browser: 10.1.10.102/Home/Performance
  • Only devices with a strong, clear signal will be able to connect.
  • Remember to disable any automatic screen-dim functions.

Google Glass Instructions:

  • Download the free "URL2Glass" app from the Google Play Store.
  • Open "URL2Glass," type 10.1.10.102/Home/Performance and send this link to Glass. When it arrives in your timeline, "pin" it.
  • Go to Settings / WiFi: MobiTxt
  • Click on the timeline link.

Carmen is one of the world’s most popular operas, featuring dramatic and memorable arias including the sultry “Habanera,” the passionate “Flower Song, ” and the virile “Song of the Toreador.” With its vibrant colors and evocative images, this new Operascape* production created for Wolf Trap's beautiful outdoor amphitheatre will transport you to Spain.

*Operascape productions are fully staged, with custom-designed video projections and costumes.
