Support Wolf Trap Your contributions are critical to fulfilling Wolf Trap’s mission.

Children Enjoy a Performance at Wolf TrapTicket sales cover only 50% of Wolf Trap’s annual operating expenses, so we rely on the tremendous generosity of our donors to help sustain the excellence of our arts and education programs. Your contribution supports year-round programs, including:

  • About 100 summer performances at the one-of-a-kind Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts and another 70 at Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods.
  • More than 90 amazing performances at the intimate Barns at Wolf Trap from October through May.
  • The Wolf Trap Opera Company, one of the world's premier young artist training programs.
  • The Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, which reaches over 35,000 students, parents, and educators annually in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC and 40,000 more in 15 regions across the U.S.

Did you know...

  • Less than 2% of Wolf Trap’s ongoing funding for operations comes from government sources? The National Park Service, Wolf Trap’s partner since founding, is responsible for construction, management (including parking), and maintenance of Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, while Wolf Trap Foundation manages performances, concessions, and events at the Park.
  • As part of our mission, Wolf Trap Foundation sets ticket prices to assure the performing arts are accessible to a broad audience, with tickets as low as $8 and an average ticket price of about $35?
  • Wolf Trap is Metro accessible, via the Wolf Trap Shuttle Bus Express from the West Falls Church Metrorail station to nearly all summer performances?
  • Wolf Trap has a goal to become a carbon-neutral, zero-waste organization and has instituted environmentally friendly practices, such as using green products, improving recycling efforts, reducing energy consumption, and purchasing carbon offsets?
